Wagon Movement Change Request

Wagon Movement Change Request

The Telematic Experts Group 6 (TEG 6), led by RailData, has revised the TSI TAF (Technical Specification for Interoperability relating to Telematics Applications for Freight) chapter on Wagon Movement, proposing improved wording. The updated text aligns more closely with rail processes, clarifies data exchange partners, and defines a single message format for all event types.

In parallel, TEG 6 is developing a new XSD schema for the Wagon Movement message, based on WSM version 6.0 used in the ISR system. This schema will be adapted to comply with the TAF data catalogue. TEG 6 plans to submit Change Requests soon to update both the TAF core text and the technical annex for the Wagon Movement function.

Stay tuned for further updates as RailData and TEG 6 continue to enhance TSI TAF compliance and streamline rail freight operations!
