Production Migration to Cloud at Amazon

Production Migration to Cloud at Amazon

RailData has successfully migrated its central applications from two data centers in Paris to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Frankfurt. The migration, completed on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, included all core applications: ISR (with all modules), ORFEUS, CoReDa, and ATTI.

The French IT company LUSIS established the new platform on AWS, executed the migration, and will continue to support the operation of the central servers. We extend our gratitude to Hit Rail for their expertise in managing the migration of traffic on the Hermes network.

Key Benefits of the Migration

  • Greater Flexibility: AWS allows RailData to seamlessly scale computing resources to accommodate future growth.
  • Modernized Infrastructure: By moving to the cloud, RailData eliminates the need to replace aging servers or invest in new hardware and system software maintenance.
  • Cost Savings: The transition is expected to reduce operational expenses.

With this move to the Amazon cloud, RailData is well-equipped for further service development and ready to support future expansion. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to enhance our offerings for the rail industry!
