GB Railfreight Joins ISR

RailData is thrilled to welcome GB Railfreight, a rapidly growing British freight railway undertaking headquartered in London, as a new ISR user. On February 22, 2024, GB Railfreight signed the ISR User Agreements, marking their integration into the system.

With a team of over 1,100 employees, GB Railfreight operates more than 2,000 trainloads per week, handling 22% of Britain’s rail freight. The company manages a fleet of 156 locomotives and over 1,400 wagons, delivering goods for numerous customers.

On March 20, 2025, the RailData General Assembly, held in Olten, approved significant changes to the organization’s governance structure, prompted by the departure of two key leaders by the end of May. Mr. Tommy Ransmark, RailData Chairman since 2021, will step down due to retirement after an impactful 20-year tenure with the organization.
