ERA Certifies RailData Services

ERA Certifies RailData Services

RailData is thrilled to announce that it has received TAF certification from the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) for its ISR and ORFEUS messaging and translation services! This prestigious recognition confirms compliance and future-proof connectivity for all RailData stakeholders, and marks a proud milestone in our commitment to advancing digital interoperability and compliance across the European rail sector.

After a rigorous assessment, ERA has officially confirmed that not only the Wagon Status Message (WSM, version 61) and Consignment Order Message (COM, version 1.6) messages but also the comprehensive translation tools of ISR and ORFEUS to transform earlier message versions fully meet the requirements of the TAF-TSI Regulation (EU) 2021/541 and its associated Technical Documents (XSD version 3.5.1). This certification specifically covers the TAF Consignment Note and Wagon Movement functions, establishing ISR and ORFEUS solutions as the gold standard for European rail digital communication.

Thanks to this certification, railway undertakings and all rail freight stakeholders using ISR and ORFEUS can operate with complete confidence—knowing that their processes remain compliant with TAF regulations, even when using older message versions. UIC-RailData’s translation services bridge the gap between legacy systems and new standards, ensuring seamless communication and regulatory harmony across all operational environments.

This milestone celebrates UIC-RailData’s leadership in powering the digital transformation of the rail sector and reaffirms our passion for delivering reliable, future-ready solutions. We can’t wait to continue collaborating with more partners and customers to drive innovation and efficiency in rail transport throughout Europe. Here’s to many more achievements together!

We would like to extend special thanks to Mickael Varga for his valuable contribution and to our dedicated team members—Petr Červinka, Matthias Mächler, Oliver Kundt, Ralf Gutbrod, and many others—whose expertise and tireless efforts made this certification possible.
